Q. Why does my poster not fit exactly to the page size I ordered?
A. Original posters were never produced with a standard size – so the Americans opted for different formats, the Europeans another size and the British their own size. Remember this was also the time when the imperial measurement system was prevalent – and for our production and costing purposes we have to use metric, The result of this is that we use a “best-fit” option – where we balance the size of the image, with the quality level we set ourselves and the actual original image itself. This may result in an image which appears to be slightly smaller than the size that is ordered.
